Service Description

Finding Your Voice Some kids jump right into social situations. Others struggle to join a group, speak up when something feels wrong, or handle conflict without shutting down, melting down, or running to an adult. Finding Your Voice is a small-group workshop designed to help children build confidence, strengthen friendships, and learn practical self-advocacy skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Through games, role-play, discussion, and hands-on activities, children will learn how to: • Speak up respectfully • Join in when they feel left out • Set healthy boundaries • Navigate friendship challenges • Understand the difference between conflict and bullying • Know when to solve a problem themselves and when to ask a trusted adult for help • Stay calm when emotions run high We'll introduce kid-friendly concepts such as "friendship glitches" versus bigger problems, helping children gain confidence in handling everyday social situations while knowing when they need support. This workshop is ideal for children who: • Struggle to speak up for themselves • Avoid conflict or become emotional during disagreements • Have difficulty navigating friendships • Tend to people-please or go along with others • Need support building confidence in social situations Workshop Dates: July 12, 19, and 26 July 12 & 19: 12:30–2:00 PM July 26: 12:30–1:30 PM The final session includes a parent recap and take-home resources to help continue the conversation at home.
